Just in time for the holidays, Picnic and I connected to bring the world “Keep The Change,” a new and fun holiday tune that fuses our signature sound with lines from all you filthy animals’ favorite holiday comedy. Check out what Earmilk had to say about the tune then jam it below.
This week/weekend’s jam packed full of events. Tomorrow, I’ll be rocking a private party for Vice after Spike Jonze’s screening of HER in Austin. If you happen to check out the screening, holler.
After that, I’m back to Dallas on Thursday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 8Ball & MGJ‘s Comin Out Hard at Carnival Night Club. I’ll be kicking off the show with a DJ set and 8Ball & MJG will headline the night with a live performance. That same night, I’m off to The Basement for my weekly Big Bang party.
On Friday, I’m rocking The Warm Up with DJ Red Eye at Beauty Bar, where we play our favorite dance, house, etc. tunes. This party is a good time/break away from the usual. In addition to the party, we’ll be accepting toys for the youngins who need it this holiday. The party is free, so be sure to show your generosity by helping a kid in need by donating an unwrapped toy.
Last but not least, I’m presenting an official party on Saturday at The Travis featuring none other than Shawn Carter’s right hand man, legendary engineer Young Guru! I’ll be providing the opening set and Young Guru will close the night. Picnic will be the host. The party invite has already garnered 150 RSVPs since it was announced last Friday evening, so be sure to let me know you’re coming and get there early.
Dallas, you gave me a warm welcome home from the No Poison No Paradise Tour last week. The special 90s / Halloween Edition of my weekly Big Bang party at The Basement was liiive. Thanks so much to everyone who came out and dressed in their costumes or finest of 90s gear. I took a risk leaving my old weekly spot and starting something new at The Basement… a place with no signage (haha)… an alley entrance… a place where no other party takes place… any day of the week. I’m honored that my supporters have continued to hold me down and have allowed me to grow. Now that I’ve got things locked, I’ve (with the help of Hance and the good people of The Travis) given the Big Bang Basement a fittingly sexy new look. Thanks for your support and keep spreading the word!
Fresh off of the No Poison No Paradise Tour and I’m back to work in my home city! This Wednesday, Booty Fade is rocking Trillwave‘s Trill-O-Ween Party at Boiler Room. Come in costume to get in free. Otherwise, it’s $5.
Thursday, we’re turning my weekly Big Bang party at the Basement into a 90s Halloween Bash. I want to see overalls, pagers, Starter jackets, color block rugbys, flannels, Docs, Ren and Stimpy shirts… basically everything the kids are rocking these days (haha).
Last but not least, on Friday Central Track and I are having our monthly Pop That party with Philly’s DJ Sega at It’ll Do. This guy is a beast. Check out his latest mix, and cop your tickets online for only $8. Tickets are $10 at the door. See y’all soon!
