Big thanks to everyone in Dallas who came out and supported the Booty Fade release party this past Friday at The Travis. Durkin killed it. Tum Tum was a fun host. The energy from the crowd was amazing. We represented Dallas on this first EP and you guys gave the love right back. Props to Central Track for their help on this, as well as Aio Wireless and Scion for their support!

Here it is folks! The debut Booty Fade EP by me and Picnic dropped today! As y’all know, we’ve been working together as BF for the past year and are extremely excited about this release. We couldn’t have done it without y’all. Dallas artists, friends and the city itself helped inspire us and shape the project on a whole. With that said, jam the EP, then RSVP for the official release party going down this Friday, March 7 at The Travis.

More about the party: All the way from Boston, Durkin will be providing the opening sounds. Check out his “U Don’t Have To Call” remix. And from D-town, the legendary Tum Tum will be your host. We’re giving away free autographed EPs to the first 100 people to cop their $3 tickets online. If that wasn’t enough, we’ll also be giving away a Samsung Galaxy 4 and 3 months of service sponsored by Aio Wireless. Folks who buy pre-sale tickets get their names entered into the drawing twice, so double those chances, folks! Otherwise, tickets will be $5 at the door and folks who buy at the door will have their names entered into the drawing once. We appreciate all the support from the Dallas scene and want to see all of you in the spot on Friday, March 7! Órale, Dallas! It goes down!

As y’all know, the weekend starts on Thursday with my weekly Big Bang party at The Basement, hosted by Picnictyme. I’ll have the new Basement stickers on hand, so be sure to stop by the booth to get yours. Friday, I’m heading to Houston for a full weekend of party rockin’. The homies Dayta and Klinch invited me to play their weekly “Good Good” party at The Flat. If you haven’t been to The Flat yet, check it out. Vibes are def good good. Saturday, me and Dayta are ending the weekend with our monthly Top Notch at Boondocks. It’s always live, always packed and still going strong after 5 years. See you guys on the dance floor!

SwappingBlock

Yesterday’s Swapping Block was proof that digging and nerding out on all things vinyl and music-related are alive and well in Dallas, TX. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day at Strangeways with buyers and vendors moving everything from psych-rock to rap and everything in between. Thanks to everyone who came out to buy and sell! Stay tuned for more info on the next Swapping Block, coming this May 18th. We have plans for the next one to be bigger and better, so tell a friend!

Booty Fade – It Goes Down

Booty Fade - It Goes Down

We’re a month out from the release of our debut EP, so Picnic and I let loose one of our faves from the project. Not sure if we could possibly get any more Dallas than Tum Tum’s vocals over a classic Tejano/cumbia jam. We’re hearing it’s doing very well with the abuelita demographic. The Booty Fade EP drops March 4. It goes down!

It’s The F*cking Party!

Pop That - The Party

theparty-houston

This weekend marks two very special nights for me and others on the Dallas/Texas scenes. For the first time since 2009, The Party (DJs Nature, Select and me) will be rocking back-to-back shindigs at It’ll Do for Central Track’s monthly Pop That in Dallas and Boondocks in Houston! As many of you Dallasites and Texans know, anywhere The Party rocked from 2006-2009 were THE places to be. We brought together like-minded people, played rowdy music and ushered in a new era of TX nightlife. Whether you were present throughout our heyday or are part of the new wave of party-goers, we hope you will dust off your air horns, allover print tees, dunks and bandanas and come wild the hell out with us. It’s the f*cking party!!
