I’m finally back in Dallas after a month-long stint on the East Coast! After 11 hours of sleep in my own bed and washing every article of clothing I own, I’m feeling pretty darn good. I had such an amazing time all over NY and in DC, Boston and Pittsburgh. I met so many good folks, created some outstanding memories, rocked some amazing parties, and ate my weight in jerk chicken. Huge thanks to all the homies and promoters who booked me. S/O Rosalinda and Yung Sudie for being the best roommates and adventure counterparts! Extra shout out to the NYC rats for staying out of Rosa’s sight. Stoked that Picnic and I got to further the Booty Fade movement and show NY & Pittsburgh how we get down. Aye! This Sunday, March 30 Booty Fade is shooting our first music video for “It Goes Down” from 2PM – 5PM at Studio 410 in Oak Cliff. You know we’re gonna make a party out of it, bumping the new mix we whipped up for The Dankles and everything. Be sure to stop by and show your grill on camera.
Lots of good stuff going down this week and weekend in Dallas. Tonight, Booty Fade is opening for Deltron 3030 at Trees. Doors are at 7:00 PM and we’re rocking at 8:15 PM, so be sure to get there early. Thursday night, Picnic and I will be where we are every Thursday night – The Travis Basement – for my weekly Big Bang party. Friday, I’m opening for the one and only Egyptian Lover at Crown and Harp. I’m giving away a pair of tickets to the show + a pair of IVI sunglasses. More details here. On Saturday, Sour Grapes is throwing a Selena art show + party in Oak Cliff. I’ll be providing the sounds for the evening. Best believe I’m bringing the Selena towel I bought at the Selena store in Corpus to drape over my DJ table. Last but not least, on Sunday Booty Fade is shooting our first video for “It Goes Down” at Studio 410. Y’all already know it’s gonna be a good time. The shoot starts at 2PM.
